The operating framework
Six stages. From observation to intervention.
A repeatable sequence that starts with the subject, not a preselected channel or content package.
The official stages
Define. Assess. Intervene. Measure.
The current six-stage structure is taken from the Search Takeover master plan.
01Define the Takeover™Choose the exact subject you intend to influence.
02Define the Takeover Environment™Bound the sources, questions and relationships that matter.
03Assess the Takeover Opportunity Score™Examine how open or established that environment is.
04Determine required information and resourcesDesign an intervention for this particular environment.
05Implement Search Takeover™Introduce the information, evidence and relationships required.
06Re-measure and re-scoreDocument what changed and how the opportunity shifted.
A critical principle
A successful Takeover may consume its own opportunity.
If an initially open environment becomes more complete and established, its opportunity score may decrease. The next entrant confronts a different environment from the one that existed at the beginning.
The goal is not to maximise a score forever. It is to use the score to understand the starting environment, make an intervention and establish what changed.
